SWSAS Coach Education Program
About the SWSAS Coach Education program:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to apply:
- Aged 18 years and over
- Actively coaching within a local club / association within the Academy boundaries of Liverpool, Camden, Campbelltown and Wollondilly Local Government Areas
- Possess a current Level 1 NCAS Accredited Coaching Qualification
- Be prepared to work within the Academy Guidelines
- Complete Working with Children Checks
Participation in the South West Sydney Academy of Sport Coach Education program includes the following educational components / Lectures that must be satisfactorily attended to successfully complete the scholarship program.
- Advanced Coaching Principles
- Sports Psychology
- Financial Implications for Volunteer Coaches
- Drugs in Sport awareness
- Public Speaking
- High Profiled Guest Coaching Lectures
- Academy / Sports Pathways
As some education lectures will be combined with SWSAS Athlete squads, all applicants will be required to complete the Working with Children checks.
