Fitness Institute of Australia Scholarship
Applications for the Fitness Institute of Australia Scholarships are now open, with two successful applicants awarded a scholarship to complete the Certificate III in Fitness (Personal Trainer).
South West Sydney Academy of Sport Athletes and Coaches who have completed Year 10 or above who are interested in studying this one-year course are eligible to apply.
Academy Athletes are also entitled to a 20% Reduction in course fees, should they wish to undertake study at the Fitness Institute of Australia.

Terms and Conditions:
- The scholarship awardee will be required to commence study of the Certificate III in Fitness Course at the commencement of term 1, 2008 or in consultation with SWSAS and the FIA. The term of the scholarship period is twelve (12) months from the commencement of the course.
- The scholarship aims to support the student financially during the course of their study at FIA by waiving the course fees.
- The Award for successful completion of the course is a Certificate III in Fitness - Personal Trainer. For more information on this course you should consult the FIA website: www.fia.com.au
- By applying for this scholarship, you agree to the following terms and conditions as set out by the Fitness Institute of Australia:
- You consent that FIA is able to feature my image and profile in relevant FIA publications with the prior written consent of SWSAS for the period of my scholarship.
- You understand that a failure to co-operate with such reasonable requests may result in the termination of your enrolment and you may be liable to repay course costs to FIA.
- You acknowledge that your public profile represents a material benefit to FIA and that damage to your profile may result in termination of your scholarship and you may be liable to repay course costs to FIA.
- You commit to a best endeavor to complete the course within twelve months of commencement and acknowledge that failure to do so may make you liable to repay course costs to FIA.
- You acknowledge that in the even that your SWSAS Scholarship is terminated, your scholarship may also be terminated and you may be liable to pay the course costs to FIA.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE PLACEMENT
FIA Strength and Conditioning Specialist Professional Practice student seeking practical placements please refer the following criteria.
1. Complete FIA Strength and Conditioning Specialist Professional Practice forms (3 pages) found at the following link. Download Placement Form
2. Post, email, or fax forms to Academy office, prior to commencement.
3. Select training dates, times and venues from the Academy calendar on the website.
4. Upon completion of all paperwork a copy of sports manager contact details will be provided to you.
5. Contact appropiate sports manager requesting the opportunity to attend individual training / competition sessions.
6. Appropiately record all attendance details as stipulated by the FIA.
7. Ensure that you are professionally attired and act in a professional curtious manner at all times.
