What's
Happening at SWSAS ..
Welcome to this our latest update on what is happening, at 'your
very own' local Regional Academy of Sport.
It would be the greatest of understatements to say
we are extremely busy, with most sports working in overdrive, at training, education and competition sessions.
And, the results have been fantastic. Every day we hear about athletes getting into emerging
athlete programs, school state teams, state teams and Junior Australian teams.
Operationally,
we have formed an exciting 3 year 'Gold Medal' level partnership with the Property Club, and look forward
to working closely with its local Branch Manager Chris Ford.
We also welcome aboard Pau and
Colleen Maihi of 'P&C Maihi Painters and Decorators', as supporters of the Academy's newly formed
AFL Community Development program. The Academy has also been fortunate to gain the support of the Campbelltown
Blues Australian Football Club, in this exciting venture.
The Academy is also proud to announce
that each of our four local Council Mayors have agreed to once again hold a 'Mayoral Civic Reception'
in the honour of Academy athletes within their local government area.
This is an amazing recognition
of the achievements of the Academy and all the Academy athletes, and we thank each Council for its excellent
ongoing support.
We must always remember that Academy success is due to the work of many, starting
from coaches and support staff members at the club and school level, through to association and regional
supporters.
And, the Academy is proud to be an important stepping stone in the development
pathway of our local athletes, in search of their sporting 'Dreams'.

And, that includes how to manage all aspects of their lives to ...
