Member for Campbelltown visits Academy

After years of supporting the Academy in various local government roles, Greg Warren in his new capacity of State Member for Campbelltown was quick to demonstrate his ongoing commitment to the South West Sydney Academy of Sport.

With his office located directly across the road from the Academy our new MP stated he would be in close contact with the Academy in more ways than one. And, on Tuesday Greg took the risk of crossing busy Queen Street to see the inside workings of SWSAS first hand.

Greg also provided Academy staff a large portion of his busy time to reaffirm his ongoing commitment to the Academy, and agreed that its continued growth is highly important to the development of our region's talented young athletes.

Discussions reaffirmed the need to support this expansion at a State level, with a view to providing equal opportunity to hard working local athletes in sports not currently serviced by the Academy.

It was great to see the sports and community passion of our local MP shining through.
