Local Softball Champions Receive Funding Boost

Our future local softball champions have received a significant funding boost, thanks to the generosity of Elderton Homes.Elderton Homes has agreed to sponsor the South West Sydney Academy of Sport's (SWSAS) boys' and girls' softball squads. The funds will be used to purchase new tournament jerseys and provide essential training equipment for their 2018 campaign.
Academy executive director Gerry Knights said, he is very pleased that such a highly-respected and community focused organisation like Elderton Homes, has joined the academy and provided valuable financial assistance.The softball program is one of the Academy's strongest representative groups. Last year Blake Jackson, Jorja Barrett, Harrison Pudner and Breanna Evans all wore Green and Gold jerseys for Australia."
SWSAS is the factory for representative softballers said Knights, with seven boys' and two girls in the current NSW U17 representative teams, plus 10 boys' and 2 girls, in the NSW U19 teams, all SWSAS prodigies.John Castellano, General Manager - Sales and Marketing for Elderton Homes comments, "SWSAS this year celebrates its 20th anniversary as one of the premier sports academies in New South Wales, an achievement the Macarthur region should be very proud of.
