AFLW Kicks Goal in 2021

After a year of sports turmoil and disappointment due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the South West Sydney Academy of Sport says it is excited to announce its squad of 23 athletes who have been selected into the 2021 SWSAS AFL Women's U14 and U16 program.

BMX Ready to Ride

Twelve riders from across the south west have been chosen to take part in the prestigious South West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWSAS) 2020-2021 BMX program. And 11 of them are from Macarthur.
Seven athletes will return for another year while five new athletes have joined the program under the watchful eye of head coach Cara Wilde.

Academy forges ahead with an eye on a big 2021

The South West Sydney Academy of Sport is putting 2020 behind it and starting to focus on next year's programs.

It recently inducted triathlon, softball and golf squad athletes for 2021, and will open nominations during November for prospective athletes in netball, BMX, AFL Girls and the Wests Future Stars program.

Nominations in AFL boys development and basketball, new programs in swimming, volleyball and Indigenous talent identification will open early next year.

Academy's Historic Step in Time

The South West Sydney Academy of Sport has firmly entrenched its spot into Campbelltown history, after recently making the move to the historic 'Coach House', in the heart of the city's Heritage Precinct, at the southern end of Queen Street.

After being located at the opposite end of town for sixteen years, in its affectionately known 'little fibro cottage of champions', the Academy had well and truly out-grown its humble premises.
