The land on which the South West Sydney Academy of Sport is located, and where our athletes train and compete is the traditional land of the Dharawal people.

In paying our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and with a spirit of reconciliation and recognition of the Traditional owners of Country, In partnership with UAA and Western Sydney University, the Academy conducts an Indigenous Talent Identification Day annually.

The aim of this day is to provide Indigenous athletes from across the Academy catchment area the opportunity to be talent identified across a number of sports, and undertake education and sport science testing within a high-performance environment.
